The short version: Worth the Layover gives you opinionated estimates and curated guidance to help you decide what to do with a layover. It’s general information, not professional, legal, immigration or travel advice. Use it to get oriented, then confirm the important things officially. Using the site means you’re happy with the points below.
What we provide
A layover calculator and curated airport guides. The verdicts, timings, prices and tips are informed estimates and editorial judgement — not guarantees. Real conditions vary by airline, airport, nationality, time of day and a dozen things we can’t see from here.
Visa, entry and connections are yours to confirm
Whether you may leave an airport during a layover depends on your exact nationality, documents and route, and leaving is often a full border crossing. Always confirm visa and entry rules with the official government source and your airline before you rely on them. Likewise, minimum connection times are estimates — confirm the real figure for your itinerary with your airline.
Your decisions and missed connections
You’re responsible for your own travel decisions. A missed connection is your risk — and a much bigger one on a self-transfer (separate tickets), where no airline is obliged to wait for you or rebook you. To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or reliance on its estimates.
Links and content
We link out to official sources and may, in future, include affiliate links to travel services; those third parties have their own terms and prices, which apply when you use them. The site’s text and design are ours — please don’t republish them wholesale.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the last change. These terms are governed by French law. The site is operated from France by an independent sole trader — see About for the operator’s identity and contact details.
